Bio-Shield SEM is a quantitative ELISA test for the determination of nitrofurazone metabolite SEM, in meat, muscle and seafood samples. This highly sensitive ELISA kit can give results in 45 minutes without any cross reactivity with other antibiotic metabolites. SEM (semicarbazide) is a nitrofurazone metabolite monitored as part of the nitrofuran metabolite group, used to detect the illegal use of nitrofurazone in food-producing animals.
